This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it. It comes well-presented, with a nice selection of treats to explore (and savour, in my case - I find dark chocolate is best enjoyed in small amounts). The varieties are interesting; I didn't fully enjoy the miso one (though my husband did!), whereas the honey one had a nice sweetness to compliment the intensity of the cacao. I also enjoyed making the hot chocolate from its stirrer - it had an extremely creamy texture and rich flavour. Having tried Cox's plain bars previously, I know that I already enjoy those! Of course, I do appreciate that taste is a subjective thing, so mileage may vary. In summary, a good value item that would make a lovely gift.

Really nicely presented with lovely illustrations and an oversized box. The chocolate itself tastes lush with a nice depth to the flavour which is surprisingly smooth. I do love the the farm to bar concept and the sustainable / recyclable materials is nice to see. It's all very premium, including the price, but then it's a gift set to share with some lucky recipient and it just needs a bottle of red to pair with it. I went with a Merlot and demolished more in a single sitting than i care to admit! Recommended.

I've had Cox chocolate before, and it's always quality stuff. This is the dark chocolate selection, with various strengths, though all the bars I tried were actually very sweet and easy on the tongue, even the more cocoa-dominated flavours. The miso and caramel bar in particular was really nice, and tasted more like a slightly richer milk chocolate to me. No problems with the taste or packaging, which are all of high quality. The main issue is the cost. At £17 for 4 small (and smaller) bars, plus a spoon-thing (to make a hot chocolate with, I presume) it's a lot to spend for a relatively small quantity of chocolate. Still, If you're buying it as a gift, then any chocolate lover will almost certainly enjoy it.

I really like this dark chocolate selection box. It comes with 4 chocolate bars and a hot chocolate spoon. It’s such a nice way to receive them and makes it very easy to give them as a gift. It's a dark chocolate lover's dream. All of the flavours were lovely, creamy and surprisingly distinct from each other, it was easy to tell them apart even when given one square from each in a ‘blind’ test. The 85% one is obviously the most intense, but there are a few other variations, which are more appealing if strong cocoa isn't your thing. The chocolate spoon dissolved quickly in hot milk and was a delight to the senses. It is very expensive but If you like premium quality dark chocolate, then this will tick the boxes.

There can be no doubt that this chocolate is very good quality. It has a nice snap when you break it and tastes good. I like the variety in the pack. Some of the bars are seriously dark which isn’t to everyone’s taste but the pack contains bars with different quantities of cacao. My one concern was the amount of packaging that the bars came in. There was a moulded insert which allowed a lot of room for the bars and the insert came in an attractive presentation box. This is very expensive, high quality chocolate. I have taken one star off, partly because of the price and partly because of what seemed to me, excessive packaging. If the price point works for you, this is a good buy. Recommended.

PROS -a nice variety pack to introduce new consumers to the product line -the darker chocolates are a particular favourite in my house, so the cacao nibs were fought over -the chocolate-on-a-spoon was a lot of fun (and quite tasty) -“miso and caramel”: the idea of miso in a chocolate bar turned some heads, but the bar was quickly scoffed, nonetheless (lots of chocolate lovers here) -kudos on the company’s environmental stance CONS -a bit pricey for the amount of chocolate you are getting in this pack (though I appreciate the environmental approach, and likely small batch manufacturing, can and will add to the price). NOTES -Scrubs loves chocolate: “You don’t like?” “Actually, I _love_!” “Greatest conversation ever."
